Noćas, po našem vremnu od 2h posle ponoći,  održana je prestižna dodela nagrada – MTV Video Music Awards 2020 (MTV VMA 2020).

Kada su u julu objavljene nominacije bilo je nekako očekivano da će Lady Gaga dominirati na dodeli MTV VMA 2020. što je i potvrdila osvojivši ukupno pet nagrada. Inače ovo je prvi javni događajkoji se održao uživo uprkos pandemiji koja je proglašena zbog korona virusa.

Britanski list The Guardian na svom portal javlja  da je Lady Gaga vodila s devet nominacija te da je, kako se to od nje i očekivalo, ostavila snažan utisak svojim izgledom tokom nastupa noseći raznovrsne maske.

Lady Gaga je tako osvojila nagradu za umetnika godine, pesmu godinu, najbolju kinematografiju i najbolju saradnju za pesmu „Rain on Me“ koju je otpevala u duetu s koleginicom Arianom Grande.

Osim navedenih, Lady Gaga je odnela i nagradu Tricon koja se dodeljuje kao priznanje umetniku koji je ostvario najbolje rezultate u tri ili više disciplina.

„Iako smo trenutno razdvojeni, a kultura se na neki način ne oseća živom, ipak verujem da dolazi renesansa. Govorite šta mislite, ali čuvajte se. Možda zvučim kao pokvarena ploča, ali savetujem vam da nosite masku – to je znak poštovanja“, rekla je Lady Gaga tokom svog govora na dodeli nagrada.

Kao što smo napisali MTV VMA 2020 je bio prvi javni događaj koji je emitovan kao emisija otkako je pandemija korona virusa zaustavila proizvodnju TV sadržaja u Americi, ali i širom sveta.

Za one koje nisu gledali rećićemo da je ovo bila neka vrsta hibridnog programa koji je sadržao različite vrste formata. Naime, dodela nagrada se odvijala na različitim lokacijama u New Yorku s malo ili nimalo publike.

Osim toga bilo je i javljanja u emisiju putem videolinka, a organizatori su se potrudili da scenu i nastupe upotpune upečatljivim video efektima, a svi izvođači su odisali entuzijazmom i srećom kako bi se gledaocima, ali i malobrojnoj publici pružio potpun ugođaj s obzirom na brojna ograničenja koja vladaju Amerikom i svetom zbog pandemije.

Ceremoniju je vodila glumica Keke Palmer koja se javila iz još jednog studija koji je organizovan u New Yorku u blizini Empire State Buildinga. Obratila se malobrojnoj publici, a nakon toga je emitovan video u znak sećanja na glumca Chadwika Bosemana koji je preminuo u petak u 43. godini nakon četverogodišnje borbe s rakom debelog creva.

„Boseman je bio pravi heroj ne samo na ekranu, već u svakoj stvari kojiu je napravio u životu“, kazala je Palmer.

Među ostalim izvođačima koji su dobili nagradu MTV VMA 2020 bio je pevač The Weeknd za najbolji spot za pesmu „Blinding Lights“, zatim Taylor Swift koja je nagrađena za najbolju režiju za numeru „The Man“. Osim njih, nagradu je odneo i Maluma, kolumbijski izvođač i tekstopisac, za pesmu Que Pena koja je proglašena najbolji latinoameričkim prizvukom. A samo da vam javimo da je Maluma ovih dana objavio i novi album, te očekujemo još vrelih latino hitova.

Za najbolju hip-hop pesmu nagrada MTV VMA 2020 je dodeljena Megan Thee Stallion za Savage Remix, a za najboljeg noootkrivenog umetnika proglašena je Doja Cat.
